Climate Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Hardware Show Open at ADNEC

Abu Dhabi – UAE: 03 October, 2016 – His Excellency Mohamed Thani Murshed Al Rumaithi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, opened at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) today the inaugural editions of Climate Abu Dhabi, an exhibition dedicated to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry, and the Abu Dhabi Hardware Show, Abu Dhabi’s first specialised tools and hardware exhibition targeted at vendors, suppliers and manufacturers.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Mahmoud, 1st Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Acting Group CEO of ADNEC.

Following the official opening, His Excellency Mohamed Thani Murshed Al Rumaithi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited various pavilions and was briefed on the latest products and solutions on display at both events.

Organised by Dome Exhibitions and Euroexpo, and supported by ADNEC, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and AbuDhabiEvents.ae, the collocated events have drawn the participation of many major international companies in HVACR and hardware industries.

Aimed at initiating dialogue about the new range of eco-friendly products and solutions available within the climate and cold chain sector, Climate Abu Dhabi 2016 is the latest initiative by the emirate of Abu Dhabi to highlight energy efficiency and environment sustainability. Revolving around three themes of indoor climate (HVAC), process cooling and cold chain technology, the exhibition spotlights cutting-edge innovations that make a difference in achieving energy efficiency, indoor air quality, food safety and connectivity.

The inaugural edition of Climate Abu Dhabi drawing the participation of over 5,000 industry specialists as well as high-level decision makers and experts from world-leading industry associations including Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers’ Association (ISKID) in Turkey and Eurovent, Europe’s leading industry association for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies.

Running concurrently with Climate Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Hardware Show caters to a wide range of industrial requirements including building hardware, industrial hardware, home-wares, DIY and gardening tools, safety tools and lighting equipment. The exhibition has convened more than 6,000 visitors and industry professionals from the UAE and other GCC countries including Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain.

Climate Abu Dhabi 2016 & Eurovent

The ‘Climate Technology 2030’ Forum during the 2016 Climate Abu Dhabi is a hands-on, forward looking seminar programme that brings additional value to manufacturers, building consultants, contractors, designers, planners, energy managers, public policy makers, and everyone else interested in the latest and upcoming developments concerning Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies. It incorporates the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 of ‘Creating a sustainable Emirate that protects resources for current and future generations’.

Interested organisations can apply for different forum and seminar slots. The seminar slots are recurring daily, ensuring an extended reach for presenters during different exhibition days. In order to guarantee a wide variety of issues, they are grouped around the Forum’s core themes Indoor Climate (4 slots available), Process Cooling and Refrigeration (2 slots), Food Cold Chain (1 slot), and Industrial Ventilation (1 slot). All proposals have to fulfil specific quality criteria as outlined on the ‘call for presenters’ online portal.

The ‘call for presenters’ will be open until 12 August 2016. Within five days after their submission, presenters or panel organisers fulfilling the quality criteria are going to receive a confirmation. Seminar slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Climate Abu Dhabi is a new international specialised ‘HVACR’ exhibition run by the organisers of the widely known Climate World Moscow (Mir Klimata).

Business Lunch for Trade Delegates

On May 30th, the presentation was held at the Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi and received great interest from delegates from around the region and the world. The representatives of Iran and Pakistan welcomed the introduction of Climate Abu Dhabi and stated their interest in close cooperation. Talks are in place and we hope to introduce pavilions from these countries soon. Both nations see considerable economic growth and offer excellent opportunities especially for the HVACR industry.

2nd Steering Committee Meeting held on June 5

Planned as a follow up meeting to inform members about recent developments and discuss more in detail about visitor promotion and conference topics, we have welcomed 3 new additions to the panel: Frederic Paillet from Climate Control Magazine, Shigeyuky Kojima from T.Chatani & Co. (Mitsubishi Heavy), and Binoj Amacadu from Euroclima. Climate Control Magazine not only acts as official HVACR media partner, it also joins its Career Fair with Climate Abu Dhabi.


Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council grant official support

ADQCC, a member of the board of ESMA, has expressed its support for Climate Abu Dhabi. With initiatives to establish higher standards for the region, it will take a lead role in defining ways to more energy efficiency in the HVACR industry. It will take care that Climate Technology Forum 2030 is fully aligned with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and contribute their valuable expertise to the conference.
